Animate Your Career

An Animation degree opens up a world of opportunity for a student. When most people think about animation it is in reference to the cartoons we associate with childhood.

While it is true that the designers and animators of such movies and television shows tend to hold degrees in fine arts and animation, this is not the only opportunity available. Animation is used quite widely in all forms of media, in the background areas of production and computer based fields. An animation degree can also lead to careers in product visualization, interior design and architecture.

Television and Film Animator

Animators who work in TV and film hold the majority of jobs related to animation. The animated world of film has advanced far beyond its 2-D origins. The most popular animated movies of the day involve at least some minor amount of computer animation. Some movies are completely animated using 2-D foundation and 3-D combinations. The technologies and skills gotten with an animation degree give the student a seamless entry into television or film industry.

Architectural and Interior Design Animator

The technology used in architectural and interior design tends to have a great deal of animation elements. This animation is not done in the way of character animation, instead it is a more technical and structured animation based upon the structures.

Video Game Animator

The animation in video games is often even further advanced than what you will find in TV and movies. There is as much background animation work in the form of storyboarding and layout as there is in character animation. Animated characters in video games also have a great amount of character development and facial expression.
