It’s true that there’s a huge shortfall in the number of trained and licensed nurses. To make up for this shortfall, employers are offering attractive compensation, great benefits, and flexible work schedules besides fat paychecks to Registered Nurses. While many candidates, lured by the thought of a quick entry into the workforce, go for an Associate degree in nursing, I am of the opinion that such a degree might stagnate your growth after a while if you don’t upgrade your skills. For positions of more responsibility, it’s best to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Working full time? No problem. Online BSN degrees are not only widely available, but also respected and accepted by most employers. If nursing is your calling in life, you should check out the BSN online program at Independence University. The program is ideally suited for RNs looking to upgrade their skills.
