In another effort to emphasize the importance of online education and benefits available to students pursuing such online courses, Colorado Technical University has recently launched what is called the ‘Interactive Virtual Tour.’
Colorado Technical University – Interactive Virtual Tour
This interactive virtual tour is a marketing tool used to promote the online educational system offered by the University, emphasizing the need and importance of online degree programs. A virtual tour is a method adopted to take the students through a micro site where they get an insight into what exactly is being offered by the online educational industry. Unlike ground campuses, an online educational system is more difficult to explain in words than in a virtual tour of this sort.
State-of-the art technology has been used in creating this interactive virtual tour. The Colorado Technical University Virtual Campus won the ‘Best of the Best’ award in the 2009 Computer World Honors Program. This online campus tour offers a virtual visit to the campus for those prospective students who intend to know and understand the benefits offered by Colorado Technical University’s online education system. Features of Interactive Virtual Learning include:
- An initial video takes students through a series of courses offered by the University.
- Using the latest technology students are offered a brief idea of a virtual classroom and the options they can choose from for virtual learning.
- The virtual tour also presents videos of graduates from Colorado Technical University sharing their experiences about online education and also details about the networking sites they can connect to for interaction with experienced students in their Virtual Commons area.
- Information about career services assistance, technical support and funding options are offered through virtual resources.
- Online interaction with the help of live chat is available, where a university representative offers to provide details requested by the user.
- You can visit their website at www.ctuvirtualtour.com to get a practical insight into what has been described above.
